Washington-based energy and business journalist and editorJeff Barber has been an editor and journalist covering a range of energy issues from Washington for more than 30 years. He worked for more than 20 years for S&P Global Platts in a variety of positions and was responsible for reporting on U.S. energy policy, covering Congress and the departments of Interior and Energy as well as the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. He later reported on the U.S. electric and natural gas industries and led Platts' U.S. newsdesk. He joined OPIS in December 2015 and leads the renewable fuels group, which is responsible for delivering daily prices assessments for U.S. biofuels, Renewable Identification Number (RIN) credits and low-carbon fuel standard credits. In addition, the team reports on market dynamics and policy developments in the federal Renewable Fuel Standard and state-level low-carbon fuel standard programs.
