Eric Linak
Executive Director, Specialty Chemicals, S&P Global Commodity Insights
Eric Linak is the Executive Director for the Resin and Coatings Group of the Specialty Insights Team at S&P Global Commodity Insights.Eric has worked for IHS Markit(now part of S&P Global) and the legacy SRI Consulting for over 30 years. He has authored a number of Chemical Economics Handbook and Speicalty Chemicals Update Program reports in a number of areas, including resings, coatings, adhesives, fibers and chloralkali. While at SRI, Eric also served as Director for the World Petrochemicals and CEH programs. He also also led or contributed to a number of private consulting projects on polyurethane dispersions, powder coatings, solvents, coating resins and others. Before joining SRI, Eric worked in various industrial positions in powder coatings, chloralkali and toners.
He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Ohio State University and an M.S. in Industrial Administration from Carnegie-Mellon university.
