Philipp Ludwig is a Data Analytics Apprentice within the GTAS Forecasting team at S&P Global Market Intelligence.Philipp is a PhD Candidate in Economics at KU Leuven and recently joined the GTAS Forecasting Team as a Data Analytics Apprentice. At S&P Global, he both collaborates with the GTAS Forecasting team on the forecasting methodology and analytics as well as uses our unique Maritime and Trade data to conduct independent research for his PhD.
His research combines insights from international trade, networks and environmental economics to understand how local supply chain disruptions and policy changes affect global outcomes of firms, consumers and the environment.
Prior to pursuing a PhD, Philipp worked as a Consultant at the International Trade Centre in Geneva, a joint organization of the United Nations and the World Trade Organization.
Philipp holds two MSc degrees in Economics from KU Leuven and Lund University and a BSc in International Economics and East Asian Studies from the University of Tübingen.
