Michael Malveda currently leads global research for specialty chemical intermediates, fibers & films products.Michael currently leads global research for specialty chemical intermediates, fibers & films products. He brings over 20 years of experience in market research & analysis for the chemical industry. Michael has led and conducted primary and secondary market research on over 30 multi-client Chemical Economics Handbook (CEH) and Specialty Chemicals Update Program (SCUP) studies covering specialty chemical intermediates used in the construction and automotive industries, as well as specialty fibers and films used in the packaging, electrical/electronic, medical, and other various markets. He also has previous experience with bio-based chemicals, and food products.
Prior to joining S&P Global, Michael worked in a laboratory setting for both the electronic chemicals and chemical environmental testing fields. Mike holds a B.S. in Bioresource Sciences from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
