Erik Meyer is a basin researcher for Sub-Saharan Africa with knowledge regarding regional geology, petroleum systems and exploration play types for the area.

Erik is a subject matter expert for Sub-Saharan Africa basins, and responsible for the review and input of geological content into the Basin Monitor dataset. Prior to joining S&P Global, he has 5 years experience as an exploration geologist in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico, with a focus on seismic interpretation and prospect maturation.

Erik holds a BSc degree in Geology from Louisiana State University.
