Wes Petkau has responsibility for global vegetable oil outlooks at S&P Global Commodity Insights.Wes is responsible for leading S&P Global global vegetable oil market analysis. His team is tasked with providing clients with timely information and market insight needed to navigate some of the most dynamic and complex agricultural commodity markets, including food use and industrial demand for various vegetable oils. Prior to his current role, Wes focused on oilseeds, including soy complex, canola/rapeseed, and sunflower market analysis. He has more than 15 years of experience working in agriculture, including work on a broad range of research projects in Canada where he is located.
Wes holds Master of Science, Agriculture Economics and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degrees from the University of Manitoba.
