Global Manager, Sugar Analytics, S&P Global Commodity Insights
Dr. Luciana Torrezan S. Soncin joined S&P Global Commodity Insights in December 2021, to lead the global sugar analytics team.Dr. Luciana has over 15 years of experience in commodities analysis, including experiences on biofuels, grains & oilseeds and electricity markets.
Prior to this role, Luciana was the Global Head of Sugar and Ethanol Research at Tropical Research Services. She has also worked for Bunge from 2011 to 2020, as the Head of Research for Brazil Sugar & Ethanol and Grains & Oilseeds. Previous experiences include Copersucar and FCStone , as sugar & ethanol market analyst.
Luciana holds a PhD in Applied Economics from Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz - ESALQ/USP, and Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Economics. She was also a Visiting Scholar at SIPA - School of International and Public Affairs - Columbia University.
