​In his more recent work, Gareth has been managing and working on projects that help clients answer key strategic questions around port, company, and ship and movement data. The Bespoke Data Analysis product answers questions involving port congestion, ECA analysis, slow steaming trends, competitor analysis, market sizing and much more. In 2013, Gareth commenced work to reevaluate means for calculating 'Country of Economic Benefit' and rewrite the algorithm that supports this field.

Gareth has worked at S&P Global(now part of S&P Global) for over 11 years and has great knowledge in the rich data sets across the Maritime portfolios also on analysing, combining, blending and cleaning the data. His extensive knowledge with using the data means he works very closely with clients on all manner of tasks from raw data, data aggregations, data tables and structure, new calculated fields, formulas and also full analytical solutions.

Gareth also creates dashboards for final files; allowing users to interogate the data easier and much more efficiently through an interactive tool.
