Try Abednego is an emissions researcher for the International Upstream Emissions team at S&P Commodity Insights.

Try joined Commodity Insights in 2023 and is based in the Jakarta office, where he focuses on the greenhouse gas emissions of upstream oil & gas assets in Asia Pacific and Australasia.

He has several years of process engineering experience in the petrochemical industry, where he was involved in various responsibilities across process improvement, project evaluation & implementation, and production troubleshooting. Additionally, Try has also worked on a variety of cross-functional initiatives, including emissions mapping and reduction.

Try holds an MSc degree in Advanced Chemical Engineering with Process Systems Engineering from Imperial College London, United Kingdom, and a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia.
